The FC-10D is a high-performance bi-directional transcoder for composite and s-Video (Y/C) signals. The unit simultaneously converts a composite video input to an s-Video output through a digital comb filter, and an s-Video (Y/C) input to a composite video output.
Bandwidth (Y)
- 100MHz (-3dB) s-Video to composite video and 5.8MHz (-3dB) composite video to s-Video.
Digital Comb Filter
- Converting composite to s-Video is done digitally utilizing an adaptive comb filter and DSP techniques to minimize dot-crawl and cross color artifacts.
Vertical Enhancement Circuitry
- Reduces noise and dot crawl on the Y signal.
Formats
- PAL or NTSC (selectable).
Bi-directional Format Conversion
- Simultaneous composite to s-Video and s-Video to composite format conversion.
Desktop Size
- Compact size. Two units can be rack mounted side-by-side in a 1U rack space with the RK-1 adapter.
